Is Binions Pool Open? [Ultimate Guide!]

Sharing is Caring

Binions pool, the casino’s luxurious indoor pool, is open until 10 p.m. Most of the day’s big-name slot and table games are available here, along with poolside cocktails, live music and daily matches against the clock.

The pool at Binions has seen a lot of famous faces over the years, from baseball legends to Broadway stars. And now, with summer finally approaching, it’s time for a fresh batch of celebs to make their presence felt.

Here’s a rundown of what’s new at Binions this season.

The Indoor Pool Opens

For decades, the only way to enjoy a pool at Binions was to head outdoors, to one of its four outdoor pools. But this year, the indoor pool, which had been closed for years, will be unveiled to the public, welcoming guests from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

โ€œWe know how precious our natural environment is and how vulnerable it can be to climate change, so we wanted to do everything we could to improve our green credentials,โ€ said Brett Tally, general manager of Binions. โ€œAs well as being the most beautiful pool in the city, we are sure that the indoor pool will provide an unparalleled experience for our guests.โ€

The pool features a tiki bar, spacious sun deck with picnic tables, firepits and comfortable lounge chairs. But the main attraction is the changing rooms, which are large enough to fit a six-pack or seven-pack of beer. After changing into your swimwear, you can dive right into the cool water.

The Newest Table Games

Binions is known for its slot machines and card games, and this year is no exception. Several new games have been added to the casino’s existing collection, including Cosmic Cat’s Pizza, which has been dubbed the โ€œpizzadillaโ€ game and Little Red Riding Hood, a five-reel, 40-payline slot machine.

Games are available to play both on tablet devices and desktop computers. The tablet versions allow for greater flexibility, as players can download games to their devices and take them anywhere nearby a wifi signal. A big advantage of tablet games is that they’re easier to play on the go. If you find that you’re distracted easily by the calls of children or other people nearby, tablet games are a great way to enjoy yourself while still being mindful of your surroundings.

And More Mature Drinks

Drinking is a part of life that most people look forward to once summer arrives. But at Binions, the fun in the sun might not be as innocent as you’d think. The pool bar offers a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, many of which are available in a more mature form. There’s also a cocktail named after Bings, the dog from Central Park who sips his way through a bottle of champagne daily.

The drinks menu also features other less common yet equally as exciting beverages, like frog legs and dragon’s blood. If you order these items, don’t expect to lick your ice cream straight from the container, as they come with a side of tomato sauce to keep up with the cool, creamy texture.

Brunch Is Back (Sort Of)

It’s no secret that casinos are open all year round on the Las Vegas Strip. But summer in Las Vegas is a unique concept. While most businesses close up shop and head to Alaska for the summer, the casinos keep on keeping on, operating round-the-clock to accommodate guests visiting the city for the season. And what is a season in Las Vegas but a chance to enjoy some well-deserved leisure time and eat to your heart’s content?

Many casinos offer brunch dishes like eggs, bacon and sausage, or seafood cocktails and lobster, alongside their regular dinner and lunch menu. At Binions, the kitchen serves up steak and seafood, with plenty of sides like asparagus, spinach and broccolini to keep your taste buds engaged. The buffet is a great way to eat while enjoying an evening of entertainment, and it’s available from 3 p.m. to midnight, so you can get your fill of food before the big shows begin.

Late Nights And Early Mornings

It’s one thing to enjoy a day of leisure during the day, and quite another to be up until the wee hours. However, the 24/7 nature of the Las Vegas casino scene means that you’ll often find people playing into the early morning hours, particularly at weekends. While there’s no definitive count, it’s estimated that about 15% of the casino’s players stay past midnight, with about 10% of those playing until 2 or 3 a.m. on a regular basis. These people are often referred to as โ€œnight peopleโ€ or โ€œmorning peopleโ€ but more commonly known as โ€œweekend players.โ€

It’s not unusual for late nights at the casino to coincide with early morning starts. The Strip is a vibrant place at any time of day, but it’s even more colorful in the morning, when the lights are fresh and the air is cool and crisp. If you do head to the casino after midnight, you’ll find a greater range of restaurants, bars and attractions than usual, as well as a thriving economy. It’s an ideal time to enjoy a drink, a meal or a game. But rest assured, you won’t be doing anything illegal. The casinos have security guards on patrol, keeping an eye on things and maybe even making a quick trip to the police station if they catch you doing anything suspicious.

A Changing Face

This year, Binions is opening up about its pool area, welcoming the changing face of Las Vegas society with a splash. Celebrities and athletes have long been patrons of Binions, with many memorable events taking place there. This year, with the pool area open and a new slate of activities and attractions, it will be interesting to see who makes their way to the city to enjoy themselves this time around.
