What Do You Do With Kiddie Pool Water? [Ultimate Guide!]

Spread the love

A few days back, we were driving down the road and saw this really cute little children learning to swim. It was such a beautiful scene. The water was crystal clear, and they were having a blast in their tiny little pool. There were little goggles and a tiny life vest floating around in the water, reminding us of how precious life can be when you are a kid. It got us thinking about all the other cool things that you can do with kiddie pool water…

The first thing that came to mind was, what do you do with regular pool water if you don’t have a pool? You might have a spa or a hot tub, and you certainly don’t want to waste the perfect heat in there. You could also place it in a pond or a slow moving stream to see what nature can do with water, but other than that, you’re mostly out of options.

Fortunately, there are dozens of things that you can do with kiddie pool water. Here are just a few of them:

Drink It!

Besides being such a beautiful sight to see those little ones having so much fun in the water, drinking the pool water is also a great way to stay hydrated. You might think that the chlorine in the pool makes it unsafe to drink, but that’s actually not the case. Chlorine is an excellent source of hydration, so if your kids enjoy the water in their pool, then let them drink as much as they want! Just make sure that they don’t swallow the water whole, as that can lead to health problems. If they do, then it’s probably safest to drink little bit by bit instead of in larger amounts.

Make A Splash!

With a little bit of elbow grease and a few popsicle sticks, you can turn your kiddie pool into a beautiful fountain that will delight your kids (and adults, too, for that matter). All you need are a few plastic cups, a spout, and some water-soaked sponge pieces. You can use a few different colors to make it more intricate or just go with plain white or green to keep it simple. Once you have it, your kids will love jumping in and out of the water, sending sprays of water everywhere. It’s a wonderful way to release some tension, make some noise, and stay cool (and potentially drown your kids, but that’s your call).

Aquatic Therapy

If you have a pool, you may have noticed that your kids go nuts in there. They love being able to swim all day long and get all the water toys out. One of the best things that you can do for your children is to let them swim with you. It’s a fantastic way to socialize your kids while also teaching them how to be responsible in the water. If you’re a parent, this is one experience that you want to treasure. Besides, being in the water is always fun for kids. It’s one of the best ways to relieve tension and let that bad mood go down the drain.

Make A Playground Of Your Backyard

If you don’t have a pool or spa, then you do have something else that can be used to create a playground. Your backyard, for example, is a perfect place for kids to play. If you have a big enough space, you can make an outdoor gym with obstacles like a sandpit, water balloon launchers, and a jungle gym. You could also use a few trees, some chairs, and a small table to create a jungle gym. Adding some climbing structures like ropes, vines, or metal chairs can also make for a great playground. You could even use the roof of your house to create a space for your kids to play. With all these different structures, your kids will have hours of fun, building forts and climbing all the way to the top.

As you can see, there are many ways that you can use your kiddie pool water, and not all of them have to do with swimming. You can also use it to clean your house, flush your toilets, put your feet in, or just to have some fun in the backyard.
