When Do Pools Open In Vegas 2023? [Answered!]

Sharing is Caring

There are plenty of questions surrounding Las Vegas’ Summer of 2023, and perhaps none more pressing than, “When do the pools open?”

After months of heavy snowfall and subzero temperatures, Las Vegas is waking up to the warm glow of spring. The weather is getting warmer, the sun is getting hotter, and with it, the pools will open. But what days will these pools be open? And which ones should you visit?

Let’s dive in and find out.

All Clear To Swim

The first thing you’ll want to do after waking up from a deep freeze is check the weather. If you want to swim in a pool, all clear. If not, wait a while until the weather gets better.

In most places, it’s safe to assume that the pools will be open around noon. However, in Las Vegas, this is usually the case only during the summer months. During the rest of the year, the pools will be closed, especially in the evenings and at night. This is to ensure the safety of swimmers, as well as, to save water.

What this means for you is that you’ll have to get up extra early in the summer to get your daily swim. If you can, it’s best to get up a little earlier than usual, so you can take full advantage of the daylight. Daytime pool open hours can vary from place to place, so you’ll want to check the rules and regulations before you go swimming.

When Is Breakfast Served In Vegas?

You’ll always need food when you’re traveling, and you’ll always want to eat what’s around you. While in Las Vegas, breakfasts are available every day of the week, with the exception of Sunday, when there’s no restaurant open. (Breakfast isn’t served on Sunday in most places. In Las Vegas, restaurants will open for dinner at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, and all meals sold at this time will be halal. (Muslim food.)) Breakfast in Las Vegas might also come with a side of celebrity. If you want to grab a quick bite to eat before you visit the pool, you might want to consider popping by a celebrity chef’s restaurant, such as Todd English’s Olives! or Francesca’s Italian Kitchen. Both restaurants are in the Venetian, which is a resort in Las Vegas. As a general rule, the more luxurious the hotel, the more luxurious the restaurants. You wouldn’t want to go to some cheap eatery that serves greasy burgers and hotdogs, would you?

Resort Pools Will Offer The Best Experience

Resort pools are open for everyone, regardless of whether or not you’re a guest at the resort. These are the pools that the hotel maintains for its guests as well. They are usually smaller in size, and they feature water features and lush, tropical plants. There is also a wide range of activities available at the resort, ranging from golf to tennis and spring-water pools. If you want an activity-packed day, go for a swim at the resort, and then visit the pool for a relaxing afternoon. You can also rent beach cruisers and take a trip down the Las Vegas Strip. The possibilities are endless.

Of course, non-resort pools are also open to everyone. These are the neighborhood pools that are usually smaller than the resort pools, and they feature no water features and bare concrete sides. If you stay local, these are the pools you’ll want to avoid. The neighborhood pools are for bathing suits and sunnies, and can get pretty crowded. If you want to get a tan and meet new people, stay local and visit one of the many resort pools instead.

The Peak Season For Las Vegas Pools

Peak season in Las Vegas is from July to October. During this time, the temperature isn’t too hot, but it’s also not too cold. This is perfect for swimming, especially in the evening, when the temperature is perfect. The nights are warm, but not too hot, and the days are cool but comfortable. Swimming pools in Vegas are open most evenings and on some weekends during the peak season. This is to ensure that there are always other bathers around when you get in the pool. It’s good to have company when swimming in a pool, as this makes it more fun. Especially if you’re swimming with someone you love, or with someone who loves to swim. (It’s perfectly normal to want to swim with someone you love. Especially if you’re in a public place, and especially if it’s a warm day.)

If you want to be extra safe when swimming in a public place, use a pool cover. These covers act as a safety net, preventing accidental drownings. They can also be used as a flotation device, if you fell off your boat into the water. The only negative thing about these pool covers is that they limit the types of activities you can have while in the pool. You can’t do anything while wearing a pool cover. (Unless you want to get wet, of course.) This is something to consider if you really love being active in the water. If you value your safety, however, it’s best to stick with the covers.

The Days And Hours That Pools Are Open In Las Vegas

In most places, pools will be open from noon to 5 pm. However, in Las Vegas, this can vary a bit. Many pools will open at 10:00 am, and then will close at 5:00 pm. During these winter hours, it gets cold, and there’s not a lot of light. This makes it harder to see what’s going on in the pool. Especially if you’re a little kid, or if you’ve gotten used to waking up early and going to bed late. The mornings aren’t always warm, and the afternoons can get a little chilly. If you want to swim during these winter hours, you might want to reconsider. The water wasn’t meant for cooling down, and it can get very cold indeed. It’s not usually safe to swim after dark, either, so if you’re planning to go to the pool after sunset, be sure to check the rules and regulations first.

Which Type Of Pool Is Safe For Small Children?

To be on the safe side, avoid shallow or child-sized pools altogether. These are the types of pools that are usually found in playgrounds or daycare centers. They are usually less than six feet deep. If you have a small child who is determined to have some fun in the pool despite your warnings, take them to a deeper pool, or one that’s at least eight feet deep. This will ensure their safety, as well as, yours.

Is It Safe To Sunbathe?

Sunbathing in the sun is always a great way to get a tan. However, there are several things you need to keep in mind, depending on whether or not you’re at a resort. If you’re at a resort, lay out a towel on the beach. This is to ensure that no one gets a bad burn. If you’re not at a resort, and you’re not sure about the water’s temperature, cover up to avoid overheating. If you feel like you need more protection than what a simple sun hat provides, you might want to invest in a high-quality sun shade. (These shades are great for golf courses and other places with large groups of people around. However, they’re not meant for individual use. They don’t block out the sun completely, so if you’re lying down, you might not be able to get a good tan.) If you want to prevent sunburn, but you’re not sure about the water’s temperature, it’s best to stay out of the sun. (Save the bathing for the pool, or the beach.)

It’s important to educate yourself about how dangerous the sun can be. If you don’t know much about sun safety, here’s a quick tutorial about how to protect yourself and your family from the sun’s harmful rays.
